Sekuya, a new wave gaming entertainment company has successfully hosted its debut event, W3 Racing Legends (W3RL:ANIME), at the Mandalika International Circuit together with MFOS x GT World Challenge Asia. This event series is a historic milestone for Indonesia as the first GT event in Indonesia with 8 world-class manufacturers, 34 cars, and 68 racing drivers from all around the world.

The Fusion Event from Creative Economy
W3 Racing Legends presented by Sekuya Speed Society in collaboration with Radical Motorsport and MGPA, attracted five teams: SekuyaEVOS, CoinKami, W3GG, Radical Indonesia, and Niti Racing x Liquimoly. These teams, representing esports, Web3, gaming, and motorsports, participated in the Time Attack competition, showcasing their competitive skills and driving passions. The event was opened by Irene Umar, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy of Indonesia with the ceremony of painting a special race car with Starla character, together with Erika Richardo, Indonesia’s rising star painter bringing a new layer of creativity to the event.

AM Putranto, the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, attended the event, underscoring their support for the initiative and the potential of collaboration between each of Indonesia’s creative economy sectors. Their presence marked the government’s ongoing commitment to supporting young talent and fostering innovation within the creative economy.

Racers, including Indonesia’s own Senna Iriawan, known as “The Fastest Man in Mandalika 2024,” South Korea’s Kang MiJi, the Automotive Icon of the Year 2024, Fandy, a pilot turned skilled simulator racer from Indonesia Legends and joined as new comer racing driver, Farras, a car enthusiast and motorsports media personality, and Ricky Capo, a European Le Mans Series race winner 2017, all took to the track to show off their impressive driving abilities.

In the SR1 category, Senna Iriawan emerged as the first-place winner. Fandy Adianto claimed second place, showcasing his excellent racing skills, while Farras secured third place, rounding out an impressive competition. In the Extreme category, Senna Iriawan became the first winner and Ricky Capo became the second winner.
From Simulators to Real Racing
W3 Racing Legends served as a perfect example of how virtual racing can open the door to real-world racing opportunities. With the support of Radical Academy, participants who honed their skills on simulators had the chance to take the wheel of real race cars, competing in the Mandalika Circuit. This seamless transition from virtual racing to actual racing offered an exciting, hands-on experience for all involved.
Anime-Themed Racing

Adding to the uniqueness of the event, the race cars were designed with anime-inspired livery. SekuyaEvos, a collaboration between Sekuya and EVOS Esports, showcased the character Rora on their car, while CoinKami displayed Senora, supported by Flipster and Umy. W3GG featured W3LA on their car, and Niti Racing x Liquimoly brought a special Starla, outfitted in Liquimoly gear. The anime theme not only brought extra flair and excitement but also highlighted the creative blend of Japanese pop culture and motorsport.
