SKYA 2026: Community Token, Use Case & Multi Network

Sekuya recently shared key developments around its ecosystem token SKYA during a community session with Tokocrypto. The update highlighted three major strategic directions for the token: community ownership, real-world use cases, and multi-network integration.

SKYA as a Community token & Multi Network

One of the most significant updates discussed was SKYA’s transition toward becoming a community-driven currency. As part of Sekuya’s 4th anniversary initiative, the project executed a 40% token supply burn, valued at approximately $420,000.

Following the burn, the majority of SKYA supply is now held by the community rather than the project itself, marking a structural shift in token ownership and reinforcing the goal of building a decentralized ecosystem where growth is driven by participation rather than central control.

Beyond individual products, Sekuya emphasized a broader multi-network integration strategy, connecting SKYA with ecosystems that include government initiatives, large corporations, brands, and real-life communities.

Joshua Budiman, Founder and CEO of Sekuya and representing Tale X, explained that Web3 adoption will depend on how well it integrates into existing systems rather than competing with them.

Expanding Real-Life Use Cases Through Foldin

Sekuya also introduced a new utility for SKYA through Foldin, a growing real-life social network focused on helping communities organize and participate in offline experiences.

Foldin allows members of a community to become contributors and hosts, creating events and gatherings that bring people together in real life. The platform has already facilitated more than 100 community-driven events, with over 22 brands preparing to join the ecosystem.

Asyah: Sharia Investment Platform for Millions of Indonesians

Another major initiative discussed during the session was Asyah, a Sharia-compliant investment platform currently being developed with major industry partners in Indonesia.

The platform aims to open access to ethical investment opportunities aligned with Islamic financial principles, allowing users to participate in asset-backed investments while adhering to Sharia guidelines.

Yohanes Hanifa, Co-Founder of Sekuya, highlighted the importance of building financial platforms that reflect the needs of Indonesia’s demographic landscape.

“Indonesia has one of the largest Muslim populations in the world. Through Asyah, we want to create an investment platform that allows people to participate in the digital economy while staying aligned with their beliefs and values.”
